While there are some interesting tidbits from former employees of Kenner, only the most devout Star Wars toy enthusiasts will be interested in the proceedings. I enjoyed seeing some of the toys from my youth, but I felt like the collectors were "showing off" more than actually providing any useful information related to the toys.

David A (de) wrote: A 10 year old film that comes across like one made 25 years ago with very high predictability throughout. A 2 star film at best, raised to 2 1/2 because Ben Silverstone, despite his age at the time, provided the only convincing part and they tried real hard to get across the heterosexism message that was a product of the late 90's.

Stuart K (fr) wrote: Directed by Penny Marshall (Big (1988), Awakenings (1990) and The Preacher's Wife (1996)), this spy comedy had a troubled birth, originally conceived as a vehicle for Cheers star Shelley Long, who quit before filming over concerns the script, as did original director Howard Zeiff, who clashed with the producers. Despite this, it's a good film, even if it's a product of it's time. Teresa "Terry" Doolittle (Whoopi Goldberg) works as a data analyst, transferring funds by computer for the First National Bank in Manhattan. Terry has an attitude which goes down well with her co-workers, but not her stuffy boss James Page (Peter Michael Goetz). One day, Terry gets a message by computer from a man claiming to be called Jumping Jack Flash (Jonathan Pryce), who tells Terry he's in trouble. Jack claims to be British Intelligence agent in Eastern Europe, and he needs Terry's help to get home. But, Terry soon finds herself caught up with murderous agents and double crossing, but she won't give in easily. It's a lot better than what the critics at the time made it out to be, and it helped make a star out of Goldberg, who had just made a name for herself in Spielberg's The Color Purple (1985). It's a lot better than most 80's comedies, and it managed to do well, and it predicted a lot of what we do with the internet these days.
Paul B (ru) wrote: Bela Lugosi Meets a Brooklyn Gorilla may be the worst movie that I have ever seen. I sat in anguish while this movie played, watching the insufferable non-actors deliver hackneyed dialogue written by horrible monsters who must have loved to watch their audience writhe in hideous agony. The only thing that kept me watching was the promise that at some point Bela Lugosi would, in fact, meet a Brooklyn gorilla. My friends, that moment never came. Bela Lugosi did transform a man into a gorilla, but, with less than fifteen minutes of film left, this moment came too late to make any difference. I hated this film and everyone in it or involved in its production. And the film hated me. Not just me, mind you. This film is filled with a burning hatred for all of mankind. Even thinking about this film makes me tired. I must rest...
Dan E (ru) wrote: Kind of sensual: before Katharine Hepburn reveals herself to be a woman (a whole hour into the show), the maid pounces on her for a passionate kiss. Ah, the '30s. Of course, everyone thought she was a boy at that point. Three separate movies? 1. The father and (disguised) daughter escape from France and become con artists along with Cary Grant. 2. The three join up with a maid and go on the road -- to put on a show! 3. Katharine Hepburn becomes a giddy schoolgirl when they run into an artist/playboy type even though Cary Grant is right there under her nose!
