(ru) wrote: I had avoided this for a decade, and probably should have kept it that way. The script is weak and it's not super engaging. The action is non-stop so it moves quickly, but I just didn't care and wasn't interested. Uma didn't look great and Ben's acting was very weak. Skip it!

(br) wrote: Not really a movie, more like looking to the past at some supposedly true events through a dirty window. Let's call it an anti-movie. It's more of a tribute to attorney Oscar Zeta Acosta (Lazlo/Dr Gonzo) than Thompson himself, but it's still exactly what you'd expect a Thompson movie to be like. It hits a strong stride in it's second half, typically using ALOT to say a little. Oh and, obviously, Murray rules.....
